Liberal Democrat mayoral candidates attend meeting to discuss issues such as congestion charging
Bexley and Bromley Liberal Democrat members heard the three contenders to be the Lib Dem London Mayoral Candidate at a packed meeting last week.
The three contenders for the Liberal Democrat nomination; Simon Hughes (the MP for North Southwark & Bermondsey), Susan Kramer (who was the Lib Dem candidate last time) and Donnachadh McArthy (the Lib Dem national Vice Chair) addressed members on a range of issues including congestion charging and local police levels.
Bexley and Bromley Greater London Assembly spokesman Duncan Borrowman, who chaired the meeting said; "With Tory Stephen Norris saying the Lib Dems could overtake the Iain Duncan Smith's failing Conservatives, and Labour picking Ken Livingstone's deputy, who is predicted to come fourth, it is likely that the winner of the Lib Dem selection will be fighting Ken Livingstone neck and neck to be London's mayor."
