BROMLEY'S EMPTY HOMES SCANDAL - 5000 EMPTY HOMES IN BROMLEY AND THE TORIES STILL ALLOW BUILDING ON OUR GREEN SPACES

This building in Bromley Common, which was used for health services has stood empty for years.
Local campaigner Ben Abbotts is calling for tough action to be taken to deal with the massive number of empty properties in Bromley - rather than allowing property developers to continue to build on our green spaces.
At a meeting with MPs in Parliament on Wednesday, Ben Abbotts said: "In Bromley & Chislehurst we constantly find our green spaces under threat from developers. Only yesterday I voted at a crucial Bromley Council meeting against the planned over-development of the Ravensbourne College site.
"There are 5,000 empty properties in Bromley, the first priority must be to turn these into homes - before a single bulldozer tears up any more of our green spaces.
"In particular we need affordable homes in Bromley and Chislehurst for key workers such as nurses and teachers."
