A big thank you to residents of Shortlands

Local Lib Dem campaigner Anuja Prashar says local police cuts should be abandonedAnuja Prashar, LibDem candidate in the recent by-election in Shortlands, wishes to thank those voters who supported her.

Everybody knew that the by-election would not change who runs Bromley Council, but it was an opportunity to put a strong local voice in the Council Chamber to fight against Conservative cuts to the local police team, school crossing patrols and Shortlands Library.

Anuja Prashar says: "Although I didn't win, I hope our campaign and petitions are heeded by the Council and that residents' safety is not sacrificed in the name of short term cuts."
