Beckenham residents urge Bromley Council to spearhead their much needed 'make-over'

Residents, responding to a poll on this web-site, want Bromley Council to lead and fund any improvements to Beckenham town centre. They thought this option preferrable to relying on the Mayor for London for improvement funding.

Most placed better facilities at Beckenham Junction station as their number one priority.

More food related markets was second priority.

On the thorny question of what to do with traffic in the High Street, pedestrianisation was the preferred choice over one-way working. Busy Beckenham High Street
