Sam Webber has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the GLA constituency of Bexley and Bromley. He won over 70% of first preference votes at the meeting on 5 November.
Sam Webber has previously stood for election to Bromley Council in 2006 and 2010. He was also the Liberal Democrat candidate in Bromley and Chislehurst at the 2010 General election, coming second to Bob Neill MP with 22% of the vote. He lives in Bromley and has previously worked for Simon Hughes MP.
He said: "It is a great privilege to have been selected by fellow Liberal Democrats in Bexley and Bromley to be the Lib Dem candidate for the GLA constituency. I have been active in Bromley and Bexley politics for some time now and I look forward to building on that experience and meeting more residents and supporters in the coming months. Together with our membership uin both Boroughs I look forward to working with Brian Paddick and Caroline Pidgeon in the London Mayoral and GLA campaigns between now and 3 May 2012.
