Bromley Borough Liberal Democrats

It's a two horse race in Orpington

Eric Lubbock Victory Film

For over 40 years Orpington has been one of the closest fought parliamentary seats between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives. Ever since Eric Lubbock won the seat 15 March 1962 the two parties have fought close battles for the seat - with Labour always coming a distant third.

In 2001 Liberal Democrat Chris Maines came within 270 votes of regaining the seat for the Lib Dems.

At the next General Election Orpington constituency boundaries will be changed to consist of the following wards:

Biggin Hill, Chelsfield and Pratts Bottom, Cray Valley East, Darwin, Farnborough and Crofton, Orpington, Petts Wood and Knoll.

Orpington Liberal Democrats have selected local Liberal Democrat Leader Cllr David McBride as their parliamentary candidate for Orpington at the next General Election. Local Liberal Democrat teams work all year round for local residents.
