Lib Dems call for new pedestrian crossing as Copers Cope traffic chaos set to continue

The Lib Dems are calling on Bromley council to protect pedestrians in Copers Cope Road.

The location of New Beckenham station and the pedestrian subway means that thousands of residents have to cross Copers Cope Road every day at the junction with Park Road. Anyone that has attempted this in rush hour will know just how perilous this is. This impacts commuters attempting to reach New Beckenham station, hundreds of school children trying to get to Worsley Bridge Primary and Harris Academy, dozens of parents with buggies and toddlers travelling to the many local nurseries, and elderly and disabled pedestrians from one of the several local care homes.

We call on Bromley Council to protect pedestrians on Copers Cope Road, and install a dedicated pedestrian crossing on Copers Cope Road.
