The new Superloop bus service SL5 that runs between Bromley North to Central Croydon was rolled out on Saturday 3rd February. There will be four services an hour, with five in the morning peak. The route has 9 stops including Bromley South, Bethlem Royal Hospital and East Croydon station.Travelling the full route should take about 30 minutes, much faster than the current options which take about 50 minutes.
The SL3 from Bromley to Thamesmead is one of the final routes to be rolled out - we should expect to see these buses from 24 February, running via Bickley, Queen Marys Hospital and Bexleyheath.
What is Superloop?
Superloop is a network of limited stop bus routes which will circle outer London and also provide three routes connecting outer London town centres with transport hubs. Some of the routes are entirely new whilst others are re-branded from existing routes. The different sections are being rolled out in phases, with the last one due to be completed before May 2024. The buses have a different livery and the route numbers have the suffix "SL". Each section will operate separately but most of the routes connect with each other.
